This project was the equivalent of hearing the opening keys of Scarface’s “Guess Who’s Back”.
I love: being the “man on the street”, asking important questions, touching history & giving back to the community (they got Safeway gift cards for their opinion). I hugged a stranger in a act of comfort for the first time in a while…it felt good, like I was rebelling against programming.
People have always felt naturally okay sharing their lives with me, their fears and joys, hopes and dreams. I’m glad that part of me is still alive, but this also awoken in me the awareness that I need to activate it more.
Be on the lookout for the video premiering at Tacoma’s KALEIDOSCOPE event Weds, Oct 03 if you have nothing to do or wait for me to drop it here, either way take the time to look around and see those in need of support and act in love.
