Ad of the “Collective Voices/Collective Hope” 2021 Celebration
Salishan Parralax
Thank you.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read and entertain my art piece. Thank you for being whoever you are.
The galaxy in which my art takes place is not unlike how I view Salishan, rich in diversity and culture. I was introduced to Salishan at an early age in the 90s. I was young, quiet, and a voracious reader. I sought to bring people to another dimension or an otherworldly place like how I remember in my youth.
This is an open lookbook to a post-apocalyptic tale based on various folklore subjects of our own cultures. To the parents, young adults, and teenagers I hope this was in some shape or form intriguing...hopefully, you weren’t weirded out.
Leave all feedback via the link on this website. I want to thank all the collaborators (Tiffany Hammond, Nick Butler, Richard Robinson III, Alex Fox, and etc.) I worked with to make this possible and begin what I think will be an original, authentic, and otherworldly tale for the ages.
(the projected image portion of the project is over, but more to come in the future)

Guidance On King’s Way:
a Hilltop streetscape
I want to first thank the people of Tacoma for sharing their stories & time with me, Chris Jordan, and SpaceWorks for the opportunity and space to create a project I feel is transparent.
I combed through Hilltop (Tacoma) talking with the area’s seniors, which included the disabled and homeless, asking them their desires for safer spaces and ideas for being included in the budding future of the neighborhood in relation to the new rail addition. Their answers varied.
Documentaries are one of my favorite genres to watch and make , I hope this one speaks to you in some way. (stay for the credits) special shoutouts to The Southerns, my fake sister Terri, and my aunt Gloria.
